I. OŠ Čakovec: Europe Day celebration at the House of Europe in Zagreb
On May 9, Europe Day is celebrated, on the occasion of which a number of activities and festivals take place throughout Europe. The central celebration in Croatia was held in the House of Europe in Zagreb, and representatives of our school participated in it; students Sana Cimerman, Rahela Dukić, Nikola Dolenec, Martin Krištofić and Saša Ovčarić, principal Siniša Stričak and IT teacher Ivana Ružić.
The year 2023 has been declared the year of skills. The development of digital ones is especially important. On this occasion, the students of our school presented how they develop them. Sana and Rahela presented their Lego robot, Martina's software work The Lab, and Saša and Nikola the multi-player online game Golf 2, which was chosen as the best software work of elementary school students at the national computer science competition. Siniša Stričak and Ivana Ružić presented the path development of digital competences by participating in international projects, and in particular they presented experiences, project results and examples of good practice of the Erasmus+ project ARTIE - artificial intelligence in primary school education, opportunities and possibilities.
