Principal of Čakovec First Primary School, Siniša Stričak, presented the Development Path of Erasmus+ Projects in Čakovec First Primary School. In 2014, the first elementary school in Čakovec actively participated in international cooperation with schools across Europe. From September 2014 until today, nine international projects financed from the Erasmus+ KA2 program have been successfully completed at the school, and seven more such projects are currently being implemented. Out of a total of sixteen projects, the first elementary school Čakovec is the main coordinator in three projects. Also, it is important to point out that out of sixteen projects, thirteen projects are international school partnerships for the exchange of experiences and examples of good practice, and three projects develop innovations in education, intellectual results (curricula, manuals, teaching scenarios, e-courses, etc. ) applicable in all partner schools.
Helena Slamek presented the activities and results of the project What's up mr. A bug? - Insects as the Wonder of Ecosystem. Students from the entire school participate in the project activities, and a magazine was presented in which the activities of the STEAM workshop for students of younger school age and a digital dictionary are presented as a result of international cooperation of students from partner schools.
Erasmus+ development of innovations and intellectual results is the name of the interactive presentation prepared by Ivana Ružić from the 1st elementary school Čakovec. A textbook for teaching programming was presented, which is one of the intellectual results developed in the project Teaching programming in primary school: curriculum, didactic methods, textbooks, online support, in which the 1st elementary school Čakovec participates as one of the partners. An interactive exhibition Artificial intelligence in everyday life was held, which is only one of the seventy teaching scenarios about artificial intelligence developed in the ARTIE project: Artificial Intelligence in Education - challenges and opportunities of the new era: development of a new curriculum, guide for educators and online course for students, in which Čakovec Primary School is the main coordinator and project leader.
The first meeting of this kind was organized by the first elementary school in Čakovec in the fall of 2019 on the occasion of celebrating Erasmus Day and eTwinning Week. In 2020 and 2021, a national-level online conference was organized where more than twenty schools from all parts of the Republic of Croatia gathered. With the improvement of the epidemiological situation and in agreement with colleagues from the region, a live conference was held. The goal of such meetings is to develop and strengthen cooperation with schools from Croatia so that they are empowered and encouraged to participate in various projects financed by the European Union. The fact that the next meeting has already been arranged, which will be hosted by Franje Serta Bednja Elementary School, speaks volumes about the benefit of such meetings.
